Supplier Integrations: How to Connect to Octopart

What is this integration? Octopart is now part of the Nexar API and provides access to electronic component data such as pricing and availability. This integration can enhance your sourcing and quoting process in CalcuQuote.

Important to know

  • This is a paid API (subscription required with Octopart/Nexar).

  • You will need to obtain an API Key before we can configure it in your CalcuQuote instance.

Step 1: Request your API Key

To get started, please register and request your API key here:

https://octopart.com/business/api/v4/api-transition

Follow the instructions on their website to create your account and subscribe to the API.

Step 2: Share your API Key with CalcuQuote

Once you have received your API Key:

  • Send it to your CalcuQuote Account Manager

Step 3: Configuration by CalcuQuote

Our team will take care of the setup on your behalf:

  • Add the Octopart API to your instance

  • Enter your API Key securely in the system
