The Supplier Terminology feature allows users to customize system labels across QuoteCQ and BidCQ to match their organization’s preferred language and standards.

Requirements

  • This feature must be turned on by a CalcuQuote team member

  • Once terminology is updated, it will only reflect on newly created bids, it is not retroactive

1. Update terminology labels in Configuration

  • Go to Configurations > Miscellaneous > Terminology.

  • Locate the original label you want to rename.

  • Update the terminology to the new label you want displayed in QuoteCQ/BidCQ.

  • Example changes shown in the Loom:

    • MinMOQ

  • Save your changes before creating new bids.

3. Understand when the changes apply

  • Terminology changes are not retroactive for bids.

  • Any bid created before the terminology update will keep the original labels.

  • Any new bid created after the update will use the new terminology.

  • This is important for testing and for setting expectations with users.

4. Verify the terminology in Material Costing

  • Open an RFQ and go to Material Costing

  • Confirm the updated terminology appears there

  • It will reflect in QuoteCQ right away, but does not reflect in Bids until they are created post terminology change

5. Check reporting and Report Builder

  • Test the updated terminology in Material Costing reports.

  • Examples tested in the Loom:

    • All Pricing Report

    • Report Builder

    • Costed BOMs

6. Where the field reflects in Supplier Portal:

  • UI

  • Export

  • Import
