Important: Terminology changes are only applied to new bids created after the change is made. Existing bids retain the terminology that was in place when they were originally created.
Prerequisites
Before updating terminology labels, you must request this feature be turned on in your instance
Step 1: Update Terminology Labels
Navigate to Configuration > Miscellaneous > Terminology.
Locate the field label you want to modify.
Enter the new terminology that should be displayed throughout the application.
Save your changes.

Once saved, newly created bids will begin using the updated terminology.
Step 2: Understand How Terminology Changes Are Applied To BidSheets
Terminology updates are not fully retroactive.
Existing Bids
Bids created before the terminology update retain the original labels.
Historical bid data remains unchanged.
New Bids
Bids created after the terminology change will display the updated labels throughout supported areas of QuoteCQ and BidCQ.
Recommendation: Create a new test bid after making terminology updates to verify the changes before rolling them out to end users.
Step 3: Understand How Terminology Changes are Applied to QuoteCQ
Terminology changes will reflect throughout the QuoteCQ UI as well as all reports exported out of the system.
Results
After enabling Supplier Terminology and updating the desired labels:
✅ New bids use the updated terminology
✅ Material Costing displays the updated labels
✅ Reports and Report Builder reflect the new terminology
✅ BidCQ displays the updated terminology
✅ Exports use the same terminology as the application
✅ CQPS and review screens reflect the configured labels
